BLOGGER RECAP: Fashion Houston 2012 Final Night

The final night of Fashion Houston 2012 featured looks by Gemma Kahng, Jerri Moore, & Monique Lhuillier.

Gemma Kahng kicked off the night with an impeccable line of laser cut-out garments.  These pieces would be perfect for springtime here in Houston, with lots of passageways for air.    Ha! More than that I enjoyed the uniqueness of her garments.  I've never seen anything like them.  I enjoyed the 3D flowers and butterflies, and the cool black hats!

Jerri Moore is a 3rd generation Houstonian who debuted her collection for the first time last year at Fashion Houston 2011.  Since then, her company has gained even more popularity in Houston and has garnered national attention.  Jerri Moore started designing to create garments for herself that she wanted to wear to black-tie events.  You can find something for every age group in her collection.

Monique Lhuillier is a name recognized world-wide in Fashion. From stunning bridal gowns to home decor, her style is loved by all.  Celebs wear her gowns on the red carpet, and women everyone would love to be captured in her one of her pieces.  The designer came to Houston and closed out the runway portions of Fashion Houston in high fashion elegance, with many the ooh and ahh.

Tradition stands with Fashion Houston to honor a local Houstonian for their style, and this year Diane Lokey Farb was the recipient of the Fashion Style Icon tribute.  Instead of having models walk the runway in the iconic garments made for Diane Farb, the team at Fashion Houston put together a fun, modern video of Diane featured in all of her iconic pieces.
