If opening night of Fashion Houston was any indication of what was in store for us during the rest of the week, than I was SUPER excited to attend day 2. Fashion Houston gave our organization press passes to rotate throughout the week, so different bloggers from our group could attend and cover the event for their blogs. With my press pass I decided to take my photos from the press pit. Great decision, as I had perfect shots of the models and enjoyed the outfits event better. Day 2 designers were David Peck, Fotini, Patrick & Fabrice Tardieu and Zac Posen. Houston Fashion Designer David Peck kicked off the night with his spring Crop collection entitled "Once Upon A Dream".
DAVID PECK - CROP COLLECTION - ONCE UPON A DREAM
David Peck's collection was everything and more from a dream. His spring 2013 line seemed to be a compilation of mini collections. Stripes, angles, & color blocking in one, and tons of floral print in the other. I was a big fan of the bright colors. I for one look better in brights than pastels, so looking forward to shopping these pieces!
I think Fotini's collection was the most cohesive. If you threw down a whole bunch of designer apparel and had to sort, you'd be able to put all the Fotini items together. She stayed very true to the pastel palette, without bringing a dark hue at all. The clothes looked light and airy, and lots of sheer pieces.
