Houston Fashion Bloggers Cover FREEDOM OVER TEXAS

Last Thursday, Imani of Inspiration's Muse and HFB Founder, Shasie of Live Life in Style headed to Houston's official 4th of July Celebration Freedom Over Texas as media for Houston Fashion Bloggers. This was a great opportunity for our organization to cover this family-fun event.  There were lots of fashions to capture, and plenty of entertainment.  NRG brought in country stars Martina McBride and Sheryl Crow to play at the festival. Festivities kicked off at 4pm with 3 music stages, a Kids Zone, and a Bud Light Zone. There was also no shortage of food options, with everything from fried oreos, to papa johns.  Everyone was donning some red, white & blue, even if it was only nails painted, or waving an American flag.
Live Life in Style  and Valerie Malone covered the festivities!

Between set changes was the perfect time to check out other parts of the Freedom Over Texas Festival.  Shasie headed off to the Kids Zone to see what fun activities were available for the young ones.  Everything from an impressive middle school drumline, to clowns, and character actors colonial garb were available for the kids.
There was tons of food options! And what Summer event would be complete without Watermelons?
Representatives for NRG, Southwest, ABC13 Hosts, Mayor Annise Parker, and Houston Texas JJ Wyatt introduced the presentation of the colors
