BLOGGER RECAP: #FASHIONHOUSTON Opening Night - Emerging Designers

One of the best parts of following Fashion is being able to see the ever-evolving talent.  While it's great to admire the work of established and successful designers season after season, it's also fun to view the work of up and coming designers that bring something new to the table.  Thanks to Fashion Houston's emerging designer showcase on opening night, we were able to view the collections of 3 up and coming Houston Fashion Designers: Amir Taghi, Viet Kent Nguyen & Jo'Se Reyes.  Each designer has a unique style and vision. If you put looks from all 3 collections into a room and mixed them up, I would be able to pull out which ones belonged to each designer. Amir's inspiration for his Spring 2014 line was a combination of 1950s silhouettes with samurai warrior, while Jo'Se was inspired by Marie Antoniette, and Viet used a design style picked up by a Japanese designer he mentored under.
