WHAT: The wait is over, Houston! Last night artist Hanh Tran and Houston Dynamo defender Michael Chabala finally unveiled the long awaited artistic collaboration – a painting depicting the life and career of Chabala – at the opening of Hanh Gallery. The evening was a huge hit. Friends, fans and art lovers toasted the opening of the gallery and the painting’s unveiling over lite bites, wine and champagne. The Hanh Collection, Hanh’s wearable art line featuring hand-painted handbags and leather bracelets, was on full display and available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds went to The Rise School. Starting Thursday, June 12, the painting will be auctioned off online on The Rise School’s website and will go on through the summer until Wednesday, August 20. The highest bidder will take this masterpiece home and all proceeds will benefit the school and its programs. In addition to the online auction of the painting, supporters can enter a raffle for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind Hanh Collection handbag or a personal item from Michael Chabala. The raffle will go on all summer long, so enter for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes by calling 832.540.7314.
During the online auction, the painting will travel throughout the summer ending at The Rise School. For more information, please visit www.hanhgallery.com. To place a bid for the painting or make a donation, please visit The Rise School’s website, http://www.riseschool.org.
