Hi! I'm Heather and I was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Ohio. At the tail end of 2004, I returned to LA to pursue a career in fashion. After two years, I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in fashion design. In 2012, I relocated to Texas and I now have a vintage shop on Etsy and I'm also vending at local markets. I also work for Cheeky Vintage and Arbor Antiques. My hobbies include traveling, photography, the exciting world of vintage (clothing, accessories and home decor), writing, reading and general shenanigans.
What is your blog about and what are your goals for your blog?
My blog's niche is covering fashion events while maintaining my goals of covering the events in-depth with multiple photos and highlighting every designer as best as I can. I also offer product reviews, a page on my style, as well as brand/boutique and designer spotlights. I write content on my blog based on frequency of events, sponsored posts, spotlights, etc. I love working with lesser-known (but equally talented) designers/brands etc., because I love that they strive to break away from the 'norm.' My goal is to cover fashion events all over the world and be recognized for the quality of my work.
What's your favorite thing about being a blogger?
My favorite thing about being a blogger is being able to meet new people and have the ability to discover cool (indie, local, handmade) brands that need to be recognized.
Why did you choose to join Houston Fashion Bloggers?
I joined HFB because I wanted to be involved with like-minded creative people (that are in the fashion industry) in my new city.
