Thousands of revelers gathered in the park overlooking the bayou at Eleanor Tinsley Park on Friday to picnic, eat and dance to celebrate the freedom of Independence Day.  Celebrating the love of country music of course was apart of the event with a spectacular fireworks show.  Country music stars that performed were Jennifer Nettles, who sang her hit song "That Girl," Chip Esten and Mary Griffin to name a few.
Everyone - men and women - wore, according to American custom, red, white, blue, stars and denim.  While plenty of Ray-Ban sunnies and headpieces were on display, worn traditionally so were the American staple of the American flag waving in the air. From gleeful smiles to sparkling skies as a background to a wonderful night, Freedom Over Texas, was in full force to be an awesome festival about the freedom of America.
Hot tip: Primary colors like navy blue, fire engine red and pure white make the grade when mixed.
