On, Image and Style consultant Rebecca Matthews will be the featured speaker at a Fall Fashion Luncheon at the Junior League of Houston benefiting Justin’s TRIumph Over GAN and Hannah’s Hope Fund.
The organizations raise money for research to fight Giant Axonal Neuropathy (GAN). This is a rare, fatal genetic disorder that effects only 50-70 children worldwide. Two of these children live in our community. Justin Clark (13) and Lexi Clark (9) are from Bellaire, TX and were diagnosed with GAN last year. Without money for research to find a cure, Justin and Lexi’s life expectancy is in their early 20s. You can find out more about the Clarks on their sitehttp://www.justinstriumph.org.
Rebecca will be speaking about tips and trends for the Fall season. During her years working for the retailers J. Crew, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Harold Powell, Rebecca learned a lot about the mistakes people make in buying clothes. She began to hone her skills as a fit expert by working with so many different body types. She also learned about the colors that make everyone look better by having them on. Starting in 1999, she helped her former clients from her store days in their homes by cleaning out their closets and helping them navigate the shopping malls and boutiques in our large city. In the process, she gained a reputation for being efficient, keeping an eye on her clients budget, and helping make the shopping process a lot more fun. She also gained a lot of personal referrals that built her business to what it is today. She work every day with clients to make them feel better about themselves with the clothes that they buy and have in their wardrobe. You can find more on Rebecca and her business here: http://www.
