Vox Culture’s Grande Finale
"Beauty in Courage" will benefit the Tahirih Justice Center, focused on the cause for awareness
and empowerment of domestic violence survivors.

HOUSTON, TEXAS On November 17, 2014: Vox Culture presents the grand finale event to their Proclaiming Humanity series, Beauty in Courage. Vox’s year long effort to raise awareness and promote creative action to end domestic violence will feature an evening of fashion, art, live entertainment, and socializing. The night will be dedicated to putting a spotlight on Vox Culture’s beneficiary partner for 2014, the Tahirih Justice Center. The Tahirih Justice Center works to protect immigrant women and girls seeking justice in the United States from gender-based violence. The Tahirih Justice Center will use the evening’s proceeds to help ensure the protection and safety of those they represent.

Beauty in Courage will begin at Mr. Peeples Seafood and Steaks, which is located at 1911 Bagby St., on Monday November 17, 2014, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. The post party will take place immediately following the event at Majorca Bistro and Tapas, located at 207 Gray St., from 9:00PM to 11:30PM. The Mistress of Ceremonies is Hon. Jacquie Baly, Anchor and Public Policy Analyst, from KRIV FOX 26.

Notable event features include vocal performances by Inspirational Hip Hop artist Rocko Stedy and American Pop and Dance Singer-Songwriter Sugar Joiko. More special performances provided by Son Kiss’d Dance Theater, Mad About Hoops, Ariel Artist Kenali Kendrick, and Stilt Walking Performer Anna Vlada. Throughout the night attendees will also be able to view the Capsule Collection showcase by Texas fashion designers. The designers include: Danny Nguyen, Rammy Kaur, Umair Khan, Virginia Colao, Emilia Natalicchio, Elle Milady and Damari Rubio. As well as other featured artists including Jackson Potts II, George “Goldenboy” Phelps, Chyna Wheatley, Pasha Luminus, Rudy Campos, Jammie Hawkins, Erin Massey, Anu Srivastav, and Ami Mehta.

With our Beauty in Courage event, we’ll bring awareness to a worthy issue while promoting talented artists and designers. In addition, it is extremely important for many to know that Tahirih Justice Center wants to help ALL women of all ethnicities who are in danger.”
